graduates
particularly
Physical
Education
Graduates
who
wants to
enhance
their
skills
in Data
Analysis
using
different
computational
techniques.
This programme can be
pursued
by the
students
while
doing
their
Master's
Degree
in
Physical
Education
as well
as
M.Phil/Ph.D.
programme
in the
University.
This
programme
has been
designed
to suit
the
needs of
physical
educationists
and
research
scholars
of other
disciplines
as well. The
programme
shall
enhance
the
computing
skills
of the
participants
by using
statistical
software
package
and
shall
enable
the
participants
to learn
the
programming
skills
for
developing applications
in their
computing
techniques
by using
various
statistical
tools.
The
students
from
other
University
may also
join
this
programme.

DURATION
OF
THE
COURSE
The
duration
of
this
PG
Diploma
in
Computational
Statistics
program
is
two
years.
The
selected
participants
may
pursue
this
programme
along
with
their
course
of
M.P.Ed,
M.Phil
/Ph.D
programmes.
During
the
first
year
two
papers
shall
be
offered
i.e.
DCS01
in
first
semester
and
DCS02
in
the
second
semester
whereas
the
project
DCS03
shall
be
allotted
to
the
candidate
in
the
beginning
of
the
second
semester
which
he/she
is
supposed
to
submit
in
the
month
of
April
/
May
of
the
same
year
of
evaluation
and
viva.
At the
most
2
attempts
will
be
given
to
each
paper
i.e.
one
main
examination
and
the
other
supplementary
examination. If
the
candidate
is
interested
to
pursue
further
for
Advance
Certificate
in
Computational
Statistics
he/she
has
to
undertake
two
papers
DCS04
and
DCS05
and
one
project
DCS06.
The
paper
DCS04,
can
be
opted
in
third
semester
and
DCS05
shall
be
offered
in the
fourth
semester.
The
project
DCS06
shall
be
allotted
to
the
candidate
in
the
beginning
of
the
fourth
semester.
If
the
candidate
decides
not
to
pursue
further
after
qualifying
DCS01
to
DCS03,
he/she
will
be
awarded
certificate
in
computational
statistics. The
candidates
after
qualifying
three
papers
DCS01
to
DCS03
shall
be
awarded
the
certificate
in
computational
statistic
& if
the
candidate
pursues
another
three
papers
DCS04
to
DCS06
as
well,
he/she
shall
be
awarded
advance
certificate
in
computational statistic
after
qualifying
these
three
papers. After
completing
these
two
certificates
the
candidate
shall
be
awarded
PG
Diploma
in
Computational
Statistics.
In
that
case
these
two
certificates
will
have
to
be
surrendered.
The
candidate
shall
be
allowed
to
appear
in
DCS04
to
DCS06
after
qualifying
all
the
three papers
DCS01
to
DCS03
only. The
candidate
is
supposed
to
complete
these
two
certificates
in a
maximum
period
of
four
years
after
joining
the
programme.
Eligibility for Admission
Graduation
in
Physical
Education/Humanities/any
other
discipline
with 45%
marks
(40% for
SC/ST) .
Admission Procedure/Testing Area
The
selection of
candidates
for the
course shall
be basis on
the merit in
the
qualifying
examination.
Hostel &
Mess
facility for
outstation
candidate
shall be
available on
payment.
For availing
these
facilities
the
candidate
has to apply
after
getting
admission.
Fees Structure
The fee for
the Diploma
in
Computational
Statistics
shall be Rs.
2,500/-+Rs.
500
(examination
fee) per
year.
